Delete your account
You can delete your Suds Software login yourself, at any time, from inside the app.
Delete it from the app
- Sign in to your workspace.
- Open Account & legal from the menu (tap Menu on a phone, or your initial in the top corner on a computer).
- Under Danger zone, choose Delete my account and type the confirmation word it asks for.
It takes effect immediately. There is no waiting period and no review step — once you confirm, you are signed out everywhere and the login stops working.
If you can’t sign in
If your employer has already disabled your login, or you have lost access for any other reason, email support@sudssoftware.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner.
If you are the only owner of a workspace
Deletion is blocked while you are the sole active owner of a workspace, because removing you would leave that business with nobody able to administer it — including nobody able to pay their team. Add a second owner or transfer ownership first, then delete. The app tells you which workspaces are holding it up.
What we delete
- Your login. The email address on it is replaced with a permanent placeholder, the name becomes “Deleted user,” and the password is scrambled to a random value nobody holds. The account can never be signed into again, and it no longer carries your name or email.
- Every active session, on every device, revoked at once.
- Your employee profile — date of birth, home address, emergency contact — permanently deleted, not archived.
- Your contact details on the employment record: email and phone number cleared.
- Your devices’ notification registrations — the push-notification tokens for the Suds app and for your browsers — so nothing is sent to your phone after deletion.
What stays, and why
One thing survives deletion: the employment record itself, detached from your login and marked inactive. It keeps the work history attached to it — time clock punches, pay records, and the audit trail of actions taken in the workspace.
That history is your employer’s business record, and federal and state law requires them to keep it. The Fair Labor Standards Act, for example, obliges an employer to retain payroll and time-worked records for years after employment ends. We cannot delete it on request without putting them in breach, and deleting it would also erase the proof of hours you were paid for.
After deletion those records are no longer connected to a login, a name, an email address, or a phone number in our systems. If you want the employment record itself removed, that request goes to your employer, who controls it — we act on their instruction. Their own retention obligations still apply.
If you run a workspace
Deleting your personal login does not close your company’s workspace or cancel its subscription. To close an entire workspace and remove its data, write to support@sudssoftware.com from an owner account.
